We are Pure Carbon Blue

We are a dedicated team of entrepreneurs, scientists and engineers who care about our planet. We embrace UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDG) 12 to 15. We are on a mission to fundamentally contribute to net-zero by employing our self-designed DWC technology to capture unavoidable and historic emitted CO2. For decades we believed that climate change would be solved by governments, institutions and corporates. But reality is unruly. In February 2021, Bernard Hulshof and Marc Goedkoop, two highly dedicated and motivated entrepreneurs, instigated Pure Carbon Blue. We approach every issue with an open mind, a pioneering spirit and an exceptional level of persistency. We believe that our work generates durable value as we address network cooperation, scale, brand, embedding and intellectual property.

While the initial development stage was funded by both founders, the first impact investors have committed to our mission in 2021. The company was formally founded on 28 October 2021 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Its home-base is located at Edge Olympic, a vibrant place for entrepreneurs.

We steer on diversity, capabilities, and a just culture. We drive our business on environmental impact alongside with the financial returns. Pure Carbon Blue strives to become a certified B-corporation.

Collaboration is our Key

We believe that collaboration leads to the acceleration and scaling of our validation processes at the right quality level. Our team members have access to an extensive network of seasoned professionals to build a top-notch team, with the right level of experience and skills to bring Pure Carbon Blue to the next level. We design and validate our carbon capture units together with our dedicated implementation partners in order to accelerate and maintain a lean operation. We are growing Pure Carbon Blue’s organization in the coming 12 months in order to execute customer pilots and develop customer relationships. Our organization consists of the Performance Team and the Business Team. Each of these teams executes continuous iterations to generate durable value, de-risk the business and create a financially sound pathway to success.
