We are Pure Carbon Blue
For decades we believed that climate change would be solved by governments, institutions and corporates. But reality is unruly. Therefore, Bernard Hulshof and Marc Goedkoop instigated Pure Carbon Blue in February 2021, and founded the company formally on 28 October 2021 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Our home-base is located at Edge Olympic, a vibrant place for entrepreneurs.
We build carbon capture capacity, validate performance, and then optimize. Therefore, we steer on diversity, capabilities, and a just culture. We drive our business on environmental impact alongside with the financial returns based on our Direct Water Capture (DWC) technology. Pure Carbon Blue strives to become a certified B-corporation.
The Pure Carbon Blue Team consists of a diverse team of professionals with high standard capabilities who value every team-member and implementation partner for being committed to our Mission 2030, collaboration, and perseverance.
Collaboration is our Key
We work with high standards, and are aware that we can only learn when making mistakes. Within Pure Carbon Blue we adopted as a baseline the principles of a Just Culture.
Our culture is related to systems thinking which emphasizes that success is generally a product of our team, rather than solely brought about by the individual person or persons who directly involved. When we approach an issue, we make a distinction between one’s individual awareness, team awareness, and the collective awareness of the real world. In this manner we design and validate our carbon capture units, and build carbon capture capacity together with our dedicated implementation partners in order to accelerate and maintain a lean operation.
